Cabot and Mortimer Clarke Solicitors?

Hello,

Today, for the first time, I received a letter from Mortimer Clarke Solicitors Ltd, (owned by Cabot I believe)

In October 2017 Cabot bought up my debt of around £5000 (a previous loan from Hitachi. )

I had been paying Hitachi an agreed £1 a month prior to them passing the debt to Cabot.

I have never agreed or signed any agreement with Cabot, they have been writing to me for a couple of years now and I'd like that to stop.

I can't afford to pay anything to Cabot, I didn't ask them to get involved, so I don't agree with paying them. I also don't want a CCJ on my credit record and would appreciate some advice to get rid of these

people.

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)
