  • Shoosmiths acting on behalf of Cabot

Basically a few weeks back I received a letter regarding a Natwest Credit Card debt for over 10k from Shoosmiths on behalf of Cabot. I had to respond if not they would take me to court. I responded sending a CCA request. They literately responded 2 days letter with it but it really doesn't look like it was original.

They have said that they are not in possession of the original agreement and that they have provided me with a copy of the agreement which I signed electronically. Just a printed out and not on natwest letter-heading or anything. Also I don't believe its correct but how can I check that;s the original.

If I don't respond by 4pm on the 15th they will take me to court.

    What do I do.

    Panicking

Not my area but I think I would be contacting a solicitor to help you.

Look at the bottom of the page and there are links to find a lawyer page but you need a specialist consumer lawyer
