I am involved in a court case and the other party has made an application to do another witness statement after the time for exchange has expired. Having looked at their witness statement, I am thinking that it would be of benefit if I too did another statement.
My question is, can I simply seek permission in response to the other party's application (i.e. tell the court I do not object but that permission should be granted to me too) or do I need to make my own application?
