    I sent my defence back in July and have heard nothing since so thought that was it but I have come home today to a copy of an original CCA with a signature that could easily be mine and a letter saying that the last Payne t made was inside the 6 years by a few months and therefore is not statue barred. Do I have any chance of defending or should I try and settle??

      who says it is enforceable,? when was your last payment - never take their word for anything, sure somebody will seek to see a copy off you? redacted of course

        And cross ref that payment with bank records - did you get those statements in the end ? does the debt still show on your credit file?

        Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

        Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

        If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
