Personally I would not ask for an extension, why give them more time?

Whatever you do- follow the court timelines. Get your defence in on the due date , do not believe the on hold malarkey

Hi the deadline is in 3-4 days. Please advice how do we prepare the defense? My cousin do recall taking a credit card from vanquis but he is sure that the amount was in the region of 1000 not 4000 that they are claiming for.

thanks I was reading that however, please advice if I should disclose that the defendant recalls taking a credit card from vanquis bank or just keep it as it is

If it were me I'd leave it at that.
The Claimant has to prove their assertions that there was an agreement, that it was legally compliant, & that a debt is legally owed to them by the defendant.
They have to jump through a lot of hoops to do so, & I, for one, would not make it easy for them at any of the hoops.
