'Proper Head of Damage'

Hi all,

Is there a way to write a 'proper head of damages' when justifying a claim? I've had an application notice dismissed as I've just provided an issue of costs and not a 'proper had of damage'?

Do I just need to justify he costs in more detail? Any help would be much appreciated as I'm running out of time to respond.

Heads of damage / heads of loss in simple terms are categories of loss e.g. Loss of profit, distress or loss from a breach of contract.

When you claim damages you can't just claim XYZ without explaining what those damages are for or it may be liable for strike out for lack of clarity.

Was this a claim you did online or something else? It would be helpful to see the application to be able to make further comments.

Also if the judge has dismissed the application why do you say you are running out of time as a dismissal would be the end of it unless you appeal. Did you receive an order from the court to amend your application?
