This is going to sound a bit crazy and paranoid but, I recently received a ccj against me which was granted.
I never replied to it and heard nothing for about 6 months. Then a few days ago i got a letter in the post, I could tell it was court paperwork immediately before opening as it was folded so Judgement debtor and my name were visible in the window of the white envelope (court papers are usually brown envelopes?)
There were 2 notice of application attachment papers identical stapled to an income and expenditure form (I cant recall any other court paperwork being stapled either)
The bottom of the papers also includes the words produced by G. Chadderton SBC.
Also when I phoned up to pay it I was told the debt had been sold onto another company and I should ring them to settle, which I did.
I paid it including a 110 attachment issue fee, but I hasn't sat right with me since.
The company in question is Asset Collections and investigations.
Its paid now I know, but I just want to know if I was tricked?
