Hello,
I apologise as this is a repeat of past topics but I am so confused and need a *claim form defence for dumies* help if possible.
I have had a Court claim from Lowells solicitors for £600, this includes £35.00 court fee and £50.00 Legal representative costs.
The particulars of the claim are :
1. The Defendant entered into a Consumer Credit Act 1974 regulated agreement with Vanquis under account reference XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (the agreement)
2. The Defendant failed to maintain the required payments and a default notice was served and not complied with.
3. The Agreement was later assigned to the Claimant on 30/08/2012 and notice given to the Defendant
4. Despite repeated requests for payment the sum of £ remains due and outstanding.
And the Claimant claims
a) The said sum of £
b) Interest pursuant to s69 County Courts Act 1984 at a rate of 8% per annum from the date of assignment to the date of issue, limited to one year being £36.68
c) Costs
I only got this today so have done nothing so far - it is dated 30th June 2016 (issue date)
What do I need to do now please? I don't dispute having a Vanquis card that I got into trouble with, but I cannot even recall how many years ago this was, and also I am sure it was only ever about £200
Any help would be appreciated as this has made me feel sick with worry today.
Thankyou
