Hello everyone - very impressive help being given out to everyone on here so alot of respect for you guys.
I'm not the most in need of help here, as this is a situation of my own doing however someone may like to take on this challenge.
I have an overdraft debt that defaulted in 09/13 when I had serious gambling debts. These was "low priority" in my mind but obviously is not.
I have several other gambling debts (some also being pursued by Lowell, all overdrafts) which total around 3k on top of this one.
Balance Around £3500
Original Creditor - Halifax (Current Account)
This is the only one that has got to this stage, and is my biggest debt by far.
Today I have received a "Letter of Claim" which is in the standard format.
"You must contact us or make arrangements to pay within the next 14 days or a Claim will be issued without further notice to you. If a claim is issued you will be liable for further court fees"
----
I acknowledge that I do owe this money, however am trying to think of best options to proceed. Is it too late to take them up on the 40% offer that was made one months ago (in installments) or should I fight it using the usual track.
Hope you can help ! Thanks.
