Need Help - Missed 28 Days Defense

I was waiting on documents from the claimant and I stupidly filed the defence just outside the 28 days.

Claim date was 15/03/16 and I got home late so just filed it now at 00:30 on 13/04/16 (29 days).

I am really worried now as the claim is for £12,000.

Will the claim be automatically awarded in the claimants favour?

Is there anything I can do?

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
