  • Notice of Pending CCJ Lowell Solicitors

    Hello all,
I was told to come here for help with an issue that I beleive may be out of hand.

Back in 2011 I took out a 24 month contract with Orange. I made all payments in full for the entire 24 months. After this I took out a new contract and thought that would be that...
A few months later I receive a letter from Orange saying I owe £188 of unpaid direct debits. Now I know this was very stupid of me but once I'd rang them and they told me I should have read the T&C's more carefully and that your 24 month contract continues afterwards without notice, I simply got angry and ignored the debt.

Three years later and I've decided to un-ignore the problem now that Lowell Solicitors have Claimed to Northhampton county court for £263 (including a £25 court fee and a £50 legal representative's cost) which was issued on 3rd March.

Now I would have responded to this earlier but I've been between houses and have only just opened this N1SDT letter. What I need to know is should I just put all this to experience and pay off the debt before it goes to court? And will I have to pay the £25 court fee and £50 legal representative's fee if I just pay Lowell directly?

Any help would be massively appreciated. I understand I'm an absolute idiot for not acting sooner but unfortunately it's got to this point
