    Re: Gah! Flipping Lowells!!!

First can you type out the bit that says about the drop hands please... this bit " drop ALL of the accounts in the portfolios" is important.

Drop Hands is usually specific to the case in court at that point, to avoid having to pay legal costs on either side. So if your solicitors negotiated write off of all your accounts in return for not claiming costs off them, they will have that in writing. I don't think a communication from your solicitors to you will satisfy Lowell - need something from BW TO 'the solicitors'.

      Re: Gah! Flipping Lowells!!!

Thank you so much for replying again, Amethyst. I really do appreciate you taking the time to help

The 'drop hands' comment was from the letter from my solicitor. I don't have the correspondence from BW Legal to hand at the moment, as I'm not at home. I can try to find it out when I get back

In all honesty though, I'm struggling to see why I should have to find this information for them. I'm a mum of 2 young children, work part time whilst re-training to be a teacher, run a home and take care of my aging parents and I occasionally manage to squeeze time in to spend with my lovely hubby - we paid a LOT of money (that we couldn't afford) to get this situation sorted, so why on earth should I also do Lowell's job for them? They appointed their solicitors, so if they require details, they should go back to them (whom, frankly, I don't trust any further than I could spit).

The way I see it, they're underhanded, lawless, unscrupulous chancers. I'm frankly shocked and disgusted at the way they 'do business', not only with the way that our case has been handled but also the countless accounts of people being similarly harassed and dogged and duped by them, that I've read about on here and on other boards. Rather than spending the time looking through my paperwork to do their jobs for Lowell's, I think that my time would be better spent making an official complaint against them and BW Legal.

Sorry for the rant, it isn't aimed at you - I'm just so mad that they're still trying their luck, even after all these years and all the hassle and money that it took to sort it out. They just make my blood boil!

Since I sent my last letter they have come back to us, telling us that they haven't "received any notification off BW Legal to advise that the accounts have been settled. In order to investigate the matter, we ask that you contact us using the details below with full details and a copy of any supporting documentation". Are they serious?!! Because THEIR solicitor (which is just another part of their viper's nest of Evil Incorporated) hasn't supplied them with details, they want ME to do their donkey work!?? Seriously?! God,I loathe Lowells.

They have also stated that we had made payments in 2011 on the accounts, (which I have no recollection of) but each of the accounts that they are chasing are no longer on our credit files. Does these accounts no longer being on our files mean that they are statute barred? Or because we allegedly made payments, are they still enforceable?

I've been incredibly busy and haven't bothered to reply to their letter (as I can't be sure that I would be able to refrain from lacing it with profanities!) They've started harrassing us again, with phone messages, texts and letters and I suppose I should reply.

Can anyone please advise me on what my next step should be? I've contacted my solicitor, but as they'd settled this case on a 'hands off' basis (meaning that Lowell's and BW Legal would drop all of the accounts and no longer bother us), back in November 14, the files have been archived and will cost us a minimum of £750 to blow the dust off and start fighting again, which I'm obviously not keen to do.

        Any advice, please?
        Hi,

ALL defaulted debts are removed from credit files on the 6th anniversary of the default date Paid or Not it does not mean the debts are statute barred tis is a very different matter.
Any payment to any party towards a debt resets the statute barred " 6 year clock to zero"

Also even when a debt actually does become statute barred in England & Wales the debt still exist and can be pursued for payment ( in Scotland the debt is extinguished.)

My answer to Lowell addressed to Andrew Bartle the Chief Operating Officer of the Lowell group would be " Please refer to your Legal Representative BW Legal as we now consider the matter closed.

This matter is now resolved :tinysmile_kiss_t4:
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
