Before we go any further no court is going to order you to pay what you cannot afford!!
Was this in joint names? ( unusual for a phone account)
Which phone company?
" an agreement to provide finance " is also an unusually vague statement.

Can you please either type in the " particulars of claim" verbatim" or post a copy of the N1 Claim Form here it will make it easier for us to advise.
