BW Legal/ lowell portfolio court claim

    BW Legal/ lowell portfolio court claim

    Good afternoon

    I received a court claim from bw legal for a welcome finance debt which I am pretty sure but not 100% is staue barred. I defended the calim with the usual prove it letter, sent bw the £2 postal order and copied the court into my response.

    Today I have had a reply from BW legal that simply states 'Our client intends to continue with the claim.'

    They have made no reference to my request for particulars relating to the debt.

    Can someone help me with a reply?

      I have now received a letter from the court stating that the case has been issued to the small claims track. The letter has given me a chance to respond if I think this is incorrect. Does anyone have any guidance. Many thanks and Merry Christmas.

      Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

      Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

      If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
