  • In need of legal templates please

    Hi,

I am representing myself in a case and would welcome some MS Word legal templates or does anyone know where I can get them from please? Things like the layering of numbered paragraphs and specific margins, just so that I can type in the right format. Is there a specific legal software that does this by any chance?

    Many thanks

Actually if you open a new doc in word, and search in templates for Legal quite a few come up.

Re: In need of legal templates please

I have to respond to an application. The trouble is I need to be able to number efficiently like 1) a) and 1) a) i) and for some reason my MS Word won't allow me to format them correctly with indented paragraphs so I figured that there must be a different version or something like a legal template for writing witness statements etc?

I use " Open Office" with good results for this.

Have you tried creating a table in Word to do this?

                Like this ?

Which version of Word do you have?

Write your text first then go back and put in the indents and numbering - highlight the whole lot, click the button like the one I circled. Then go click tab at the beginning of your indented bits ( a,b c etc), then go click tab at the beginning of the next level indent ( i,ii,iii etc) and the numbering should sort itself out.

Otherwise number it yourself just using tab at the beginning of each line.
