    Unfortunately, he does not have the bank details of the firm but would definitely send a cheque? Would this suffice, do you think?

      I was just aiming to get it paid soonest.
      If sending cheque send it "signed for" (cost less than £2) AND KEEP TRACKING SLIP!

        That's right, I assume. The name given/Claimant name is the company's owner, not a solicitor.

          if he has a building society account then I would use one of their counter cheques. This guarantees the third party payment and shows that he has not issued a rubber cheque .
