    Re: Consent Order

Just a quick update! (I've read many other threads on forums where people start a story, but never end it, so...)

    1. I have spoken to the FOS, pass on my thanks, and they've now closed the case.
    2. I have spoken to the firm, who have responded back via email to advise they'd be prepared to take the full outstanding balance at a 20% discount. The discount is actually more than the fee they wished to charge!
    3. I have just sent an email back to the firm, as suggested by Tools, asking for written confirmation no repo orders or additional amounts will be due and that all relevant agencies will be updated to a settled status upon payment.

Thanks again for all your help Tools and Amethyst, hopefully by the end of next week this will now all be closed and resolved.

      Re: Consent Order

      Hi again,

Everything has been paid off, and I've just received a letter from the company confirming my payment and that they confirm the account has been settled in full. I was told over the phone that I would have to hand this letter in to the courts, but I can't seem to find any information online as to why and the process of doing this? How are these sorts of things normally ended? I simply assumed that if they try to take action I can go along to court with their letter and that the court case had already ended based on signing the consent order?

      Thanks in advance!

        Re: Consent Order

That's good news, just give the court a call and tell them you have confirmation from the claimant that everything's settled and should you email them a copy (and what is there email address) and would they note it on the case file.
