  • Could anyone help, have a reply from

    Hi there all,

New to the forum and last month, my partner got a county court judgement from BW Legal and i found this thread here, the debt was from contract she took out at 18 and is now 24!

    http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...well-portfolio

I copied the template letters and filled them in accordingly, but i now have a letter with a reply but i am not sure what to make of it, or if i am totally honest?

if anyone could shine some light into this for me would be gratefully appreciated.

It mean you already have a CCJ against you(judgment in default because you didn't reply to the claim form) and should have received an order telling you to pay the order forthwith or apply to vary/setaside the order. As the Judgment was entered on 16th July you have only a couple of days before it is entered on the register of judgments and will then appear on your credit file.

Do you have a copy of the paperwork from the court at all?

Did you get the original claim form?

Any support I provide is offered without liability, if you are unsure please seek professional legal guidance.

Pay? I think that's about it unless you can afford to appeal it and prove that the account was statute barred nd obtained improperly
