Urgent help please - N9B due in 5 days

A company is taking me to court, I have acknowledged the claim but now my N9B needs to be submitted and I don't know how to fill it out / word it

We hired some equipment through a middle man between us and the rental company, there was an accident and the equipment needed recovering, this middle man then went on to send us the bill for this. The whole reason we hired the equipment through the middle man was because they had the relevant insurance for the equipment but they refused to claim on their insurance. There was no written agreement between us when we hired the equipment. We know they have the insurance to cover the recovery otherwise they wouldn't have been able to hire it in the first place.

The particulars of the claim are -

The claimants claim is debt of £5000 arising from agreements in respect of goods and services particulars of which appear in invoice Nov 13.

I sent a CPR 31.14 Request letter to the solicitors and they replied with the invoices for the recovery.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
