Hi all,
ling story short I claimed a partial refund for a garden shed through PayPal as it was poor quality and the company refused to allow me to return it because I had built it. I claimed a £500 refund through PayPal who I used to but the shed. The company still has about £189 of my money. They have new issued a county court papers for £847.33. (£689.50 for the shed, £17.83 interest, £70 court costs and £70 legal fee).
they should only be claiming for the £500 I was refunded by PayPal and not the entire cost of the shed.
Legally now, what’s my position. If I pay this to stop it going to court, they will then owe me money. If I let it go to court, what are my chances. Am I better to contact the company directly and try to settle this or has that ship sailed?
thanks
