  • Please help - My Ex Landlord returned the court document by writing Return to Sender

    ;

    I moved to Dubai a year ago, my Ex landlord send me a picture of an envelope saying that a letter was received and he sent it back by writing return to sender. When I looked at the return address and googled it, it seems like a small claim court address - PO Box 300, Northampton NN1 2TX
    i don’t use UK number so had no phone calls or emails from any company. What can I do? I’m panicking that some stupid utility company Or parking company might be chasing me while I’m not even in the Uk. Even though I cleared all my bills when leaving. Upon checking various forums, it seems like that court letters and Usually claim forms are sent from this address. Please help. Thanks.

      You should phone the court on 03001231056.
      You will be asked for the claim number but as you don't know it you will need to explain.
      You could contact your ex landlord to find out if he still has the letter and ask him to open it to obtain the claim number and confirm forms have been included that look genuine.

        Sorry, ignore my last sentence. The landlord returned the envelope before contacting you.

          You could try contacting this court office giving your name and that address. Explain the situation and ask for details of the case.

            I rang this number today, had to wait for 50 minutes to get through and explained everything. The lady was very helpful and searched the register. She could not find my name Or anything under the address these letters were posted to. Even more confused now. Wonder if any company is trying their luck by sending fake letter but if you look at the pictures I uploaded above, it looks pretty legit! Ha, what a mess of a day!
