My son received a claim form in Jan for a parking fine. He acknowledge the claim on mcol on 25 Jan saying he intended to defend the claim. He hadn't input his car details at a local gym and having spoken to them they said they'd write him a letter in his defence.
However today hes received notification that the court have found in favour of the claimant, saying that he did not reply to the claim form.
Hes checked the mcol site to look at the acknowledgment of service and that was there, but is there something he's missed that he should have done in the meantime after acknowledging it?
Can he apply to have this set aside?
Thanks
