Parking fine court letter (letter and parking sign pictures included)

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

I've googled a fair amount about it but every case is different so thought I'd seek your advice.

I actually have a parking space at the development where the parking invoice was issued. On the day of the incident, my car parking space was occupied by a random vehicle.
A ticket was left on my car and weeks later I started getting letters from the parking company.
After ignoring the parking firms letters a court letter arrived (attached below).

If anyone can help by pointing me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful.

The parking sign states 'YOU MUST PARK WHOLLY WITHIN A MARKED BAY'
There are no marked bays anywhere in the development, does this void the parking invoice? If so how would I proceed in response to the court claim?
