debt from 2011 or further back and just got a court bailiff letter please what do i do.
this debt goes back as far as 2010 even Wife is ill and got to to go to hospital in January and this had made her worse
don't remember any court letters anyway

Firstly you are going to have to submit an application to Suspend the Warrant the Bailiff has. You will need Form N245 and the cost is approx £50 but if on a low wage or certain benefits you may be able to claim full or partial exemption - you need Form EX160 for this.

To have got this far there will be a CCJ recorded against you. You need to check you has done it, how much it is for and when it was done. To find out either check your credit file or for a small fee look at https://www.trustonline.org.uk/
