Hi everyone,
I've just joined, as can't find exact answer to me question:
"Should I sign up with Lowell Solicitors site to pay CCJ before 30 days" or will this then give them more information to look me up for more debts that are near 6 years old unpaid?
If the court form from County Court Business Centre had how to pay on it, like bank account details, I'd pay in full.
I'm nervous of signing up to Lowell sharks site as they've been sending a few letters (perhaps 3 debts), all of which are ancient.
I screwed up and ignored the original court letter on this one, and got a CCJ but if I pay quick, with proof, it'll go away as I understand it.
I want to do that but I don't want to give Lowell MORE information about me by signing up to their site.
The total is £300 ish and whilst I will struggle, I want to pay it with proof I've paid ASAP (I'll need a week to raise funds and I have until the 5th Feb 18, it is now 13th Jan 18).
I should have fought it looking back, as I took out a payday loan I think, and wasn't working / couldn't afford it even (was out of work on sick). I read somewhere that in itself is a defence. But now I have the CCJ looming, there's no pont paying £255 for the fight form thingy, when I can clear it for a little more money.
SO in a nutshell:
How can I pay Lowell Solicitors, and then provide proof of payment to court, all in time, without getting a CCJ for 6 years and without signing up to Lowell Solicitors site (Googles answer to how to pay, but I fear this will spotlight me with them).
Also is the claim real? My stamp just says The county Court. All others I've seen on the net say Northampton etc in the stamp. But I have a claim no. ref no. and it says County Court Business Centre, so seems real enough and scary enough to me.
I work for an FCA registered company, so a CCJ really isn't good.
I've had depression for 2 years, still worked 75% of the time, and am now getting well, but being whilst down I racked up debts (again) retail shopping online I guess you'd call it, but before that was last in debt in 2012. I guess that because 6 years is approaching, I may get lots more of these, and I live hand to mouth, my only asset is a £1500 bike, which I can't loose / have taken away, it is my anti-depressant and if you're a biker you'll know what I mean.
I'm in a financial mess, but with time and care, I'll be OK in 3 years, unless my debts from 2012 (last payments around July) arise.
Currently all debts I have I'm paying with no defaults or plans.
Thanks everyone :-)
