  • Summary Application (Scotland)

I am considering appealing a decision made by an organisation, and outlined in the decision notice is that any appeal is to be made to a court with jurisdiction using Summary Application procedure.

    My questions are:

    1. Is this a job for a solicitor or can a lay person undertake themselves? Id rather not mess it up if its too involved.

    2. If it is a solicitor job, is it wildly expensive?

    3. What is the trajectory of events once the appeal is made? Is it just one hearing?

    4. When is any evidence or case argument put forward? Is this to be made alongside the appeal or at the hearing?

    Thanks

from a quick google it looks like a solicitor sort of job sorry. In terms of costs for solicitor it depends which one, but you should be able to find a scottish paralegal (or equiv) who can do it fairly cheaply
