Does anyone have any recent experience of the time taken to have a CCJ issued?
I'm currently pursuing a claim through the Small Claims track to which the defendant has failed to file a defence, and so I have asked for a CCJ to be issued. I note that the portal explains that if a postal response is received in the interim, my request for a CCJ will be rejected.
I'm surprised that the defendant's legal firm appears to have dropped the ball so spectacularly, and am chalking it up to either delays caused by the festive break, or a backlog of paperwork at HMCTS which means that a response has been sent but not yet processed.
What is the likely timeframe between requesting the CCJ and having it issued?
