  • Enforce court judgement. Defendant is abroad

I took my former landlord to court and won. The property was is disgusting conditon. She owes me a £3,777.

The landlord hasn't paid the county court judgement. The problem I have is that she lives in the US. What is the best method for me to get the money that I am owed?

    - She owns a property in the UK. The one that she rented to my family
    - The property is managed by a letting agent
    - The landlord herself lives in the USA
    - I don't have any details about her bank accounts

I have looked over different options. Everything is complicated as she isn't the UK. To do an Order For Information, I need to serve a document to her personally. I have read about a Warrant of Control, but I don't if it's possible to use on a rental property.

    Any help would be appreciated

The obvious enforcement methods are third party debt order to get the tenants or the agents to pay you money they are obliged to pay your judgement debtor, or, failing that, a charging order over property.
