Hi,

I wrote a letter to a well known car parking company explaining that I disputed the charges applied, requested they apply no further charges. I then asked them to provide proof the debt is owed (the contract they're relying on and terms they're attempting to enforce), proof that they obtained my personal information with my consent in compliance with GDPR. Assuming they relied on legitimate interest under principle 6(1) I then asked them to demonstrate compliance by providing their legitimate interests assessment used to obtain the information, and a copy of their complaints policy and privacy policy. Finally then asked for their ICO and public liability information.

I received a standard response from them but they failed to address or explain any of the requests i put forward and i never heard from them again.

Try putting the above into letter format and send it off to them.
