  • Will CCJ definitely be removed when it says it will?…

    Hello all,

First time poster here, though I have perused your forums many a times over the years…

I have a CCJ on file which was satisfied 2 years ago (only £245), and due to come off my file 7th August according to Trust Registry online.

How likely will it be that it will happen? Reason why I ask is because it is detrimentally effecting my ability to rent a property. I have been living with my ex partner for last 12 months (it’s very amicable), but it has gradually made me incredible unhappy and mentally unwell (anxiety more so). Even the likes off OpenRent now do credit checks when several years ago, landlords never used to.

Every day feels like a week, and the month of July will feel like a year - I just want to know if CCJs come off files when they say they will? I mean, it could take another month or two for credit reference agency records to update - once the CCJ comes off my file from the Trust Registry? How can I ensure agencies update their records as quickly as possible as this wait is making me feel ill…..

I have a permanent job, on a very good salary (I’m a Surveyor), can get a reference off my landlord and employer no problem - yet this CCJ just absolutely scars your reputation regardless if you have a steady well paid job….

your advice and or experience is appreciated.
