  • CCJ removal by consent, advice needed please

I have found out yesterday that I have a CCJ (£250) against me from 3 months ago which I knew nothing about. it was for an unpaid parking ticket which I also knew nothing about as I have moved houses they were sent to my old address (I have evidence of this). I have been researching and decided to speak to the claimant and try to get them to agree to a consent order to remove the CCJ if I paid the full amount (£250). they have agreed to the consent however they want me to pay the amount first then they said they will send me the consent form. should I be concerned by this condition? as I have asked them that I will pay the amount within 14 days of the court agreeing to the removal but they still wanted me to pay first.
what would your advice be on this?
I tried to find a solicitor however the fees were more than £600 + the court fee £100.

note - I have chosen to speak to the claimant and get them to consent to the removal because it's the easiest route and I don't mind paying the amount as long as there's a chance it will be removed from my credit history.

    any advice/help is appreciated.
