Acknowledgment of service

Hi,

I have two questions if you could help me.

Am I correct in understanding that when the Defendant files N244, filing of an Acknolwedgment of Service only applies to the Defendant so the Claimant doesn't have to send/file an AOS?

Also when do I need to send a written evidence to the court/the Defendant? I did tick and mentioned that I'll be presenting a written evidence in the Directions questionnaire form.

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
