  • Omitted to pay congestion and low emissions fee

First time driving in London following traffic and sat nav failed to spot was driving through congestion charge zone. That was 20January 2021. 28 January 2022 received bailiffs letters etc requesting payment 898 pounds. Contacted them immediately and also TFL t to advise no earlier letters been received as they had not put my surname on correspondence and had not been forwarded. I had been obliged to find alt accommodation due my house being sold and expected to find permanent flat for m child and I. However was made redundant, covid, dad with Alzheimer's and child autistic life has been hard. I am at fault for not paying charges but had I received notice would have paid immediately. Am a DART customer and always paid online when using Dartford crossing.

Oops. Forgot to mention had correct surname been on correspondence would have been forwarded to my parents home where I am now living. Bailiffs have visited here twice. I have offered to pay fine at 50 pounds per month but my offer was refused.n
