  • I Received a final notice from CCJ Cabot

    Good morning,

Please help me, l received a letter from Cabot that l should pay £1600 for a debt l have no clue off. All debts l stopped paying in 2013 December. As far as am aware all debts over 6 years are statue barred, they threatening me to pay within 24 hours or they will come and remove goods from my house.

l am confused what steps to take, please help me. The letter was issue in a white envelope, l think all court letters come in brown envelope.

please any advice will be greatly appreciated.

It sounds to me that they already have a CCJ. Is that possible?

On top of that it sounds as if they have got bailiffs involved so are enforcing the debt.

I think more information is needed and you may need to find out if there was a ccj. Did you move house at some point so could the claim form have gone there?

The best thing might be to remove all your personal data (name, address etc) from the letter, scan it and attach it to a post, so Matty B can see what they've sent..
