Hi,
I was randomly checking my credit file & noticed an alert (Credit Karma) for a CCJ registered on 9/4/21 for an old address I lived at over 13 years ago. Judgment was £309. I've obtained details of the CCJ from the registry trust & note it has an incorrect DoB. I am trying to contact the court to get further details but wondered if I am likely to get a successful set aside given the length of time of the alleged debt & incorrect details. I've since registered on checkmyfile & there is no CCJ showing at all despite this address being a linked addres.
Given the elapsed time, I have no recollection of the debt & my electoral roll history is up to date so would assume they could have served papers to my correct address if they were bothered?
I'm inclined to think it maybe worth just paying the £309 within the 30 days so I get it struck from the public record rather than risk going through the set aside appeal but would be grateful for other's thoughts.
many thanks
Mark
