  • Cabot Financial - CCJ

Hello. I am new to this forum! Thank you for accepting me.

i have received a CCJ on 13th February 2015. I did not defend it in court. So they issued me a CCJ for Vanquis credit card, £3212.15

I did not pay a penny to Cabot during six years until the CCJ was removed from my credit file last February 13th 2021.

But...Cabot is still sending me letters asking for the debt to be repaid. What shall I do next? I thought they would not pursue the debt after CCJ was expired ?

    Thank you!

Sorry to say negotiate, if you can, as advised the CCJ still stands just because the six years has expired the debt remains.

Two of our most experienced posters have already stated the correct answer, it may not be popular but it is accurate.
CCJ's stay on your credit file for six years and then drop off. However, the debt does not become extinct and they are lawfully allowed to continue demanding payment. Theoretically they could explore enforcement options such as a warrant of control BUT are very unlikely to get the courts support after such a lengthy period of time.
The good news is they cannot issue another court claim, so in that regard, their threats are somewhat empty and you can write requesting they cease contact as you deem the contact to be harassment.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
