My friend is wanting to remortgage to a better deal, however, she has a CCJ that is due to drop off her credit file next year. The Mortgage Advisor has said that if she pays this off (around £3k) it will be better for her application.
My question is, in the past she has received offers from them to pay off a discounted amount. If she does so and it is in 'full and final' settlement - can they still sell the remaining debt onto another collection agency? I told her that I thought they could from reading on here a few years ago - but was unsure if this has changed.
