Anglian windows contract

Hi there

I signed a contract in November 2019 With Anglian windows. Short version is they never got around to installation and I provided them with 6 weeks written notice prior to the lockdown. They tried once to arrange an installation date but since then nothing. They had roughly 2 weeks prior to lockdown and then they shut up shop.its now been well over 6 weeks, even taking I Tom account the lockdown, and I have sent them several letters regarding their breach, and asking them to cancel the contracts. They have refused and are now threatening a claim within 14 days.

I don’t see they have a case here and they are clearly outside of the 6 weeks. I’m just wondering next steps. Solicitors?

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
