when to enter defence

i have received the court claim with no particulars just monies owing- i am sending the acknowledgement today to defend in full- so when i do my defence by the 28 days*
is it* a full detailed defence at this stage or a simple bullet point defence and i go into all my evidence and detailed response later down the line

i dont want to lay all my cards on the table and them have months to formulate a better case against me , when i highlight what im relying on and what evidence is required before i have the*
CPR 31.14 evidence /documents from them

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
