- Hi everyone hoping to get advice with lowell solicitors about 2 yrs ago I stupidly put my name to a phone contract for a friend which they had been paying . Then last year got letter from lowell solicitors saying I owed them £665 . I emailed them stating that the contract wasnt mine after few months arguing over it they sent me a claims letter so I agreed payments to get them off my back. Of £80 a month I paid this until dec 2019 then was made redundant I had £195 left to pay. I managed to get a 12 hour a week contract a few weeks later not a lot of money £98 a week but better than nothing I contacted them explained everything that I was struggling couple weeks later they issued me with court claim form I filled this in sent it back offering them.a payment.of £5 monthly they sent me a email saying they gave gave me a ccj and now asking for £335 . To be paid in full .
