Good evening Legal Beagles,
I'm currently engaged in civil action. The defendant has wilfully/recklessly provided information to me which is incorrect and the defendant would have reasonable cause to know/believe this information was incorrect. I strongly suspect this ahs been done in an attempt to prejudice my claim. The defednant sent the information in question to their solicitor who then passed it on to me. They should therefore be aware this information would be used in court.
Has the defendant commited a criminal offence? What weight would a County Court judge assign to this? Any suggestions as to how I should approach this moving forward?
Thanks in advance
JC
