Harassment charge - possible to plead guilty by post?

    Harassment charge - possible to plead guilty by post?

    Hi

    sorry if I have placed this in the wrong area.

    to cut a long story short, I have been charged with 1 count of Harassment (non-violent) by the police for an altercation with a neighbour.

    i was interviews voluntarily and then the officer contacted to say that I would be receiving a Postal Requisition to plead guilty to not guilty at the magistrates court.

    i haven’t had the paperwork through yet, however I plan on pleading guilty.

    due to this being a summary offence, will I have the option to plead guilty by post or will I have to go to court?
    i can’t seem to find anything solid to support this other than that legislation states with all summary offences you should be able to plead guilty by post.

    sorry for the longwinded question, would really appreciate any advice.

      Yes absolutely. Was honest with the police at the station as well.
