  • Lowell CCJ Responded to CPR 31.14 Request

    Hi all,

I posted near the end of August about having received a CCJ from Lowell re: BT bill.
I was advised on here to send a CPR 31.14 request, which I did. I got a letter back from Lowell yesterday saying:

"Your debt relates to a former telecommunications matter which is not regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974" and "we are unable to request a copy of this document."

Instead, they included the Notice of Assignment and Notice of Acting and Statements.

I am totally unsure of what to do next. The documents they sent confirm that my account was closed and that I owed BT a final bill, but obviously it didn't include my reason for leaving BT, which is I wasn't getting the service I was paying for in the first place. Without actual evidence of this, I'm really not sure how to carry on.

Any advise at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read all this x
