I have a judgement against a tenant for £2000 for unpaid rent, but it was never registered. The tenant quit the property, didn't answer their phone, and I had no forward address to contact them to pursue the debt. Fast forward 7 years and I've now discovered they have a well paying job at a known firm.
Can I get an attachment of earnings now, or is it statute-barred now?
If I can, in the N244 form I plan to write the following in question 3 of that form ("What order are you asking the court to make and why?"):
"Permission to get enforce a money order judgement via Attachment of Earnings Order." followed by a a few lines with a very brief explanation that we've only managed to track the guy down recently.
Is this doable?
Thanks for any help!
