    Judge Bias?

    Is it possible in this country? I certainly hope not and I hope I'm needlessly concerned.

    Anyway, I've just got back from a hearing today with claimants who are property developers and have the word "Builders" in their name. The judge let everyone know in the hearing that her brother is a builder and that she worked as a solicitor for 40 years in property development.

    Should I be concerned about this? If so, is there anything I can do about it ?

    I would have thought the case should speak for itself.

    The fact that the Judge has knowledge of the processes and issues that arise in that field has to be a good thing?

    Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

    Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

    If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
