Tenancy Agreement - Legal Query

If the LL paid a portion of the deposit back to me does that mean the tenancy agreement has come to an end (ie contract completed) and the LL cannot add additional 'damages'?

The above would be true if I had hired a car and they checked the car and give me back the deposit they cannot subsequently claim I have damaged the car.

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
