  • Summoned to Court

    hi,

I am after some help please...
The company i work for in the UK has had a summoned to appear in court by a customer in Northern Ireland.
He apparently bought a product from us 5 years ago that is now going wrong and he wants us to supply him with his proof of purchase so he can use the manufacturers warranty to correct this.
He has no proof of purchase, and nor do we - despite many members of staff searching for it.

There is no proof of purchase.
He is asking for his money back from a transaction 5 years ago - which is what he is taking us to court for.
We don't know why the goods are faulty (we did not fit them nor did we make them)

It is not feasible to just go to Northern Ireland, especially as we do not see what grounds we are being sued on.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
