I have an interesting problem which I will outline here and am looking for ideas.
I recently purchased a property and there was a breach of contract that incurred additonal costs which I need to recover.
I have advised the ohter parti's solicitors of the amount owed but all I recieved in return was a derisory offer to settle.
I now want to submit a claim via the small claims proces but I don't have the forwarding address of the defendant and his solicitor is being less than cooperative quoting data protection laws etc.
So a couple of thoughts can I send a letter before claim addressed to the defendant to his solictors in the vain hope they will pass it on?
Does anyone have any idea or experince on this as due to the recent move the electoral role may not be updaed for some time and I want to get this dealt with?
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.
