Going Court On Short Notice

Hi everyone!!!!

ive been breached for missing two appointment with my probation without a valid reason.

ive been told today that my hearing is tomorrow morning, my probation officer called me today to confirm and said a letter had been sent which I have not received.

my issue is that I can’t get my legal team there tomorrow as it’s short notice. I’ve been told to attend and ask for it to be adjourned to a further date. Is this possible? Or will the judge deal with the matter with a legal representative?. And if the judge does try and deal with it without my legal, what excuse can I use for the matter to be adjourned.

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
