I was caught shoplifting with two of my other friends on the 4th August 2015. I am well aware of my wrongdoings, I don't want to dwell on that too much.
My friends and I were stopped by security once we tried to walk out of the door. An undercover woman came up to us, and told us she had been following us around the shop (so I'm not sure if there's actually any CCTV evidence of us), and then she proceeded to take all of our bags, and have my friends and I follow her to a detention room. Three security guards were following behind us to block our escape. Once in the room, everyone's bag was searched. We then had a Nigerian security guard come into the room to intimidate us in his language (both of my friends are Nigerian). An Arab security guard then came in to tell us we're all stupid, as we're all 16 and doing this. The undercover woman then gave us forms to fill our address and name, I gave my real address but a fake name. She then asked for our parents' numbers, so we all gave our boyfriend's/siblings numbers (all over 18). None of them were answering, so she accused us of giving false details, and called the police. The police came into the room, asked us all to provide another set of contacts for parents (I gave my mum's number). They called her, and asked her to come to collect me. They began telling us that as soon as our parents come, we're getting arrested, how we've messed up our future, etc. However, after a few minutes of waiting for my mother, they were like "you know what? you can all leave." Then they followed us out of the store and we've been banned.
(Sorry for the long story lol)
Yesterday, we all got a letter from RLP fining us for £218.78 (even though I took 2 resaleable items, and my friend took 18, one of which was a bra she had already worn). I want to ignore the letter, but my mother and my sister want me to pay, especially since RLP have the dishonesty database. However, I used false details, so I'm not sure if employers would even be able to find this?
